Seaside cottage

There's not much sweeter than a cozy little seaside cottage, and this one, situated on a beautiful waterfront parcel on a picturesque Puget Sound island, is just about as sweet as it gets. At just under 400 square feet, this small yet priceless jewel may be short on square footage but it's very long on craftsmanship, character, and charm.

Quaint little seaside cottage

What began life as a simple storage shed on the property later evolved into temporary housing for the property owners out of sheer necessity.

But then, as "temporary" turned into "foreseeable future," it was decided to refocus and make this tiny dwelling a real home.

In fact, with all the handcrafted features and artisan touches this tiny home ended up having, the erstwhile "temporary" quarters became the bona fide working prototype for the larger house yet to come, a Craftsman bungalow similar to the one showcased in this Gallery.

The added bonus? Even after the "big" house is finished and occupied, this charming little seaside cottage will remain as a guest house to welcome family and friends for years to come.
